Screening Process

Linkiipal uses a two-step screening and identity verification process to help Owners and Renters know who they’re interacting with.

1. Registration screening

When you create an account, you upload a valid driver’s license for Linkiipal’s initial screening. Once approved, your profile displays “Screened.”

You can explore the platform, but booking items and publishing listings remain locked until you complete full identity verification.

2. Full identity verification

Before you can rent or list an item on Linkiipal, you must complete full identity verification using one of the following methods:

  • Instant Identity: Pay a one-time verification fee and complete the verification process through Stripe Identity. Paying the fee starts the process; access is unlocked only after successful verification. Failed attempts can be retried without paying another fee.

  • LinkiiVerify: A free alternative requiring two selfies—one holding an official government-issued document, and another holding a handwritten, Linkiipal-generated six-digit code with today’s date. Linkiipal reviews your submission.

After successful verification, you receive an Identity Verified badge and can book or list items. To become an Owner, you also add your payout preference. Your verification carries over between your Owner and Renter roles, so you don’t repeat it for each rental.

Screening verifies identity; it does not include a criminal background check or guarantee a person’s conduct.
