Rental Protection

Linkiipal Rental Protection helps protect eligible items during an active rental if they are accidentally damaged, stolen, or completely lost.

Here’s how it works:

  • The protection applies during the confirmed rental period.
  • If a covered incident occurs, it must be reported to Linkiipal as soon as possible with supporting information, such as photos, messages, receipts, or a police report for theft.
  • Linkiipal reviews the incident, the item’s condition before the rental, and its current market value.
  • If the claim is approved, the Owner may receive compensation of up to 50% of the item’s current market value.
  • The amount is not automatically based on the item’s original purchase price.
  • Normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, inaccurate listing information, and incidents outside the rental period would not ordinarily qualify.

Rental Protection is separate from a security deposit. A security deposit may help resolve smaller issues, but the Owner does not automatically receive the entire deposit when the repair cost is lower than the amount being held.

In simple terms: Linkiipal Rental Protection provides limited financial protection for serious covered incidents, but it is not full replacement-value insurance and does not guarantee payment for every claim.
