Owner Payout Management

Linkiipal Earnings and Payout Management

Linkiipal makes it easy for Owners to track their rental earnings and receive payouts through Stripe Express.

This guide explains how to access your earnings, manage your payout information, and understand how funds from a completed booking are processed.

How to Access Your Stripe Express Account

To view and manage your earnings, sign in to your Stripe Express account using the following link:

Access Stripe Express

You must use the email address associated with the Stripe account currently connected to your Linkiipal Owner account.

Step 1: Sign In

Enter the email address connected to your Stripe account.

Stripe will send a security code to the phone number associated with your account. Enter the code to continue.

If you no longer have access to that phone number, select the option to sign in another way and follow Stripe’s instructions.

Step 2: View Your Stripe Express Dashboard

After signing in, you will be able to view your Stripe Express Dashboard, which may include:

  • Your current balance
  • Recent earnings
  • Funds available for payout
  • Upcoming and completed payouts
  • Your payout schedule
  • Transaction reports
  • Required tasks
  • Account settings
  • Stripe support

From your settings, you can update eligible account information, including your connected bank account and authentication details.

Some payout settings may be controlled by Linkiipal and cannot be changed directly. However, you may update your eligible payout destination when necessary.

How Automatic Payouts Work

Linkiipal releases eligible rental earnings after a booking is completed and the two-day claim period has ended.

Once the funds become available in your Stripe Express account, Stripe automatically initiates the payout to your connected bank account according to the established daily payout schedule. You do not need to transfer the funds manually.

The time it takes for the money to appear in your bank account may depend on your financial institution’s processing time.

How a Booking Becomes an Owner Payout

The following example explains how a rental payment moves through Linkiipal and becomes an Owner payout.

Example Booking

Suppose you list an item for:

  • Hourly rental rate: $5.00
  • Refundable security deposit: $10.00
  • Rental period: One hour
  • Fulfillment method: Pickup

The Renter submits the booking request and pays the required amount. Linkiipal sends the request to you and holds the funds while the booking is being processed.

Step 1: Accept or Decline the Booking

You may either accept the booking and commit to fulfilling it or decline the request.

For this example, you accept the booking.

After acceptance, you and the Renter may use LinkiiCom to confirm the pickup and return arrangements.

For an hourly booking, the 30-1-30 Rule applies. This provides up to 30 minutes before the booked hour for pickup and up to 30 minutes after the booked hour for return, while the Renter receives 60 minutes of paid use.

Step 2: Begin the Rental

When the Renter arrives, open the booking and select Begin Rental.

Complete the required item-condition process before handing over the item. The Renter must also mark the item as received from their account.

Step 3: Complete the Return

At the end of the rental period, the Renter marks the item as Return Ready.

You may contact the Renter through LinkiiCom to confirm that you are awaiting the item’s return.

Once the item has been returned:

  1. Inspect its condition.
  2. Confirm that all included components have been returned.
  3. Mark the rental as completed.

Step 4: Two-Day Claim Period

After you mark the booking as completed, you have two days to submit a claim if you believe the item was damaged, lost, or returned with an eligible issue.

If no claim is submitted during this period, Linkiipal completes the regular post-booking payment process.

Step 5: Calculate the Owner’s Earnings

If the rental is completed successfully and no claim is filed:

  • The Renter’s $10.00 security deposit is refunded.
  • Linkiipal applies the applicable commission to the $5.00 rental charge.
  • The remaining rental earnings are released to the Owner.

For an Owner using Linkiipal’s standard pay-as-you-go plan:

Transaction

Amount

Rental charge

$5.00

Linkiipal commission at 10%

−$0.50

Owner’s rental earnings

$4.50

Security deposit refunded to Renter

$10.00

The Owner’s final earnings from this booking are $4.50.

The $4.50 is released through Stripe Express and automatically paid to the Owner’s connected bank account according to the applicable payout schedule.

Owners with an active OwnerPlus subscription do not pay Linkiipal’s 10% commission on eligible bookings made during the active subscription period.

Charges That Are Not Part of the Owner’s Earnings

The following amounts are separate from the Owner’s rental earnings:

  • Refundable security deposits
  • Rental protection fees
  • Taxes collected from the Renter
  • Other applicable Renter charges

These amounts are not added when calculating the Owner’s final earnings.

For Owners using the standard pay-as-you-go plan, Linkiipal’s 10% commission is calculated from the initial rental charge—not from the Renter’s total checkout amount.
